Sally Hunter Philburn
Project 31
Cruel sea/31, Sally Philburn.
This is a collaboration of Sally Philburn’s own personal work influenced and inspired by children’s art work and poetry. The project centres around the English Channel crossing crisis, of refugees seeking safety. One event on the night of 24th November 2021 created a starting point, and is to be remembered in Barnsley, South Yorkshire England hopefully as an annual event. Volunteers of Barnsley borough city of sanctuary held a memorial in 2022. A public piece of art is to be considered to commemorate this tragic event.
