What does your work aim to say? Does it comment on any current social or political issues?

“My paintings are intended to tell a story as it relates to my childhood trauma, PTSD and personal experiences serving my country. The paintings are a reflection of, and expression of, personal turmoil related to past interactions and experiences.”

Do you plan your work in advance, or is it improvisation?

“I paint what I feel, so there is no improvisation because there is no plan before I sit in front of the canvas. When I am in front of the canvas, I decide what I am inspired to paint - not before. Exceptions are commissioned work and themed projects.”

Are there any art world trends you are following?

“I am trying to educate myself artistically. I am always exploring new painting techniques in all of my mediums.”

What process, materials and techniques do you use to create your artwork?

“My painting mediums are acrylic, oil and watercolors. My materials consist of artist grade canvas, cold pressed heavy watercolour paper and quality paints and brushes”

“My paintings are a reflection of, and expression of, personal turmoil related to past interactions and experiences.”
