Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Melissa began painting in 2017 while residing in Florida. Melissa loves abstract art, because it lets the mind flow with distracting thoughts; a sense of peace and calmness to escape the stress and anxiety of everyday life. Abstract Art, it depicts what you see. Melissa uses a variety of paints and mediums to create the perfect piece with bold colors and lots of texture. A mixed media artist by heart. Currently, Melissa resides in Houston, Texas with her family and 2 dogs.

Painting has opened a light in the darkness to express how she feels emotionally and share joy with others in the process. She primarily paints with acrylics and oils with added mediums.
