EbelByEbel is an acronym for "Evolving Beyond Evolutionary Luxury" by EBEL. He produces limited collectible collections. His apparel line is a 1-of-50 custom collectible series, each piece numbered 1–50. Every order includes a hand-drawn apparel box, custom-designed tissue paper, and a custom shipping box featuring his monogram on the inside. The apparel itself is custom, accompanied by limited-edition stickers and a certificate of authenticity. A gold-embossed 1/50 seal appears on the back of each garment, along with a description explaining the meaning of the front characters and what they represent. His wall art is available as contoured cut pieces or in square format. The back of each artwork is finished with his monogram and includes a full description of the characters, the year of copyright, the artist’s name, the character’s name, and a seal of iridescent authenticity. Limited custom collectible pieces are offered in acrylic wall art with LED lights or plain acrylic. All apparel is made to a very high standard—heavy thread count, super limited, and uniquely crafted.
What is your background and how did you start your journey in the art world?
“It all started with graffiti, street art and the different expressions of inner city life in the streets of New York City captivated me. I started to practice my signature using my name then each signature became the focal point of each character unique facial designed imprint giving each character their own personality. EBEL is a acronym for Evolving Beyond Evolutionary Luxury’s, and made it my slogan slowly building up a family of characters each with a unique name that that was birthed in the urban streets of NYC and Miami Florida, threw out the years back and forth from New York City to Miami, Florida brought the color of inspiration with in the urban and cultural essence free expression of fashion and art culture.”
What inspires you?
“My inspiration is seeing my creations comes to life, from a focal point of my signature comes emotions and personality, colors subsequently becoming the characteristics of a unique expression of purpose of vision.”
What themes do you pursue? Is there an underlying message in your work?
“There is no true theme, my slogan Evolving Beyond Evolutionary Luxury’s, underlines the message of life, Ebelbyebel, the world evolves; times change; people change but beyond time evolutionary cycles are constructed and luxuries become luxury’s when many become one!”
How would you describe your work?
“My work is freedom, urban culture and fashion evolving from evolutionary luxury’s the spelling of luxury’s instead of luxuries in meaning, all of the world luxuries wrapped in luxury’s a stand point for many to become one, giving color to life as life brings color, opening one’s mind to foundations of culture urban city life and creativity a marvel of exclusivity and diversity with in the lines of distinguishing life in art n art in life.”
Which artists influence you most?
“Well, the best artist in the word; Earth, life, the influence of living, the construct of a blank canvas can become life, colors have such a profound impact in life with out it it would be a world with out inspiration when a simple color can bring warmth can bring peace, light, can bring emotions, memories and joy, so the major influencing artists in my life is life itself!”
What is your creative process like?
“There is no real process per say, it’s more like an inner experience that comes out through my hands on the the canvas it’s a life being born with out an idea it’s being born. An inner calling with out any natural guidelines or rules of constructing, a freedom flow of consciousness and creativity naturally becoming more.”
What is an artist’s role in society and how do you see that evolving?
“An artist’s role is giving the world a sense of creative freedom without boundaries with out guidelines, expression of each artist is different, a form of colors and constructs that give diversity in every way, from stick figures to a portrait what each eye sees, is a world infinite to possibilities each mind is a world of its own captivating each individual imagination differently but with the same focus evolution.”
