Charlotte’s jewelry is known for its whimsical details that have properties of healing, symbolism, and each piece containing a very personal message.
What is your background and how did you start your journey in the art world?
“I started as a self-taught goldsmith in 1998. My creativity and ideas have been my motivation and drive to learn all the skills required in this craft.”
What inspires you most?
“I am inspired by many things. Nature is a big inspiration that I always naturally observe in macro visions. The forms that occur in movement, as well as ancient art made with few remedies are also a great inspiration.”
What themes do you pursue? Is there an underlying message in your work?
“There is always a high frequency energy behind my work. It can have a soothing healing property or a personal symbolic meaning for the person I’m creating for. There is always a meaning and story behind every piece of work.”
“When an art piece calls me, I feel it in my heart, whether it’s a jewelry piece, fresco or sculpture that is yearning to be created.”
How would you describe your work?
“My work is here to lift the energy in a room through paintings and fresco, or lift the energy of the person wearing the jewelry pieces. All the jewelry is enriched with small details and is almost breathing. My creations are intuitive and speak to the heart in its vibration.”
Which artists influence you most?
“I am very fascinated with ancient art. I’m often drawn back in time for inspiration. That ancient work then becomes a modern interpretation in my own world.”

What is your creative process like?
“My process is a little chaotic. I never really plan or draw what I want to create. Once I have an idea, I just start. My work is flexible, allowing the piece to take its own form, and the result is always different from what I first intended. I sit back and let myself go on the ride in connection to a higher source.”
What is an artist’s role in society and how do you see that evolving?
“Art has such a big importance in society. It can bring us together. It helps us reflect and find meaning in our surroundings. I also think that jewelry has a big purpose and can be used for more than just decoration. It can be part of a personal healing process or can be worn as an art piece.”
Have you had any noteworthy exhibitions you'd like to share?
“I’ve been working in multiple mediums for three years. Before this, I only created jewelry and sold it through various stores, including my own.”
