What is your background and how did you start your journey in the art world?
“It came out of nowhere! I just started painting.”
What inspires you?
“My heart. As an artist deeply inspired by the vibrant community and creative spirit of Brentwood, I pour my passion into every piece I create.”
What themes do you pursue? Is there an underlying message in your work?
“It just comes. I connect to a creation portal; its like a passion. I find myself in the studio at unexpected times—either early in the morning before coffee or very late at night before going to bed. When creating from passion, time has no meaning and flies by. It is never too late to start fresh.”
How would you describe your work?
“Fun happy energy. My work is a reflection of the colorful world around me, influenced by the local artisans I collaborate with and the dynamic spaces where my art is showcased. What is your creative process like?
“I just paint everyday for four hours. I work with textured acrylic on canvas, focusing on the enjoyment of the process without worry or fear. My paintings represent love, happiness, and a timeless, peaceful, and majestic place.”
What is an artist’s role in society and how do you see that evolving?
“To be a great example for other women and that it’s never too late to follow your passion.”
Have you had any noteworthy exhibitions you'd like to share?
“Yes, I just recently won a prize in central valley California. There is an article written in local magazine BetterinBrentwood. To date, I have sold over 220 textured acrylic paintings on canvas, mostly in California. My work is showcased across six different locations in Northern California.
