Flora Yukhnovich, born in 1990, is a British painter. Flora Yukhnovich's art reinterprets Rococo compositions and color palettes through a contemporary lens, giving rise to thickly impastoed, almost abstract canvases that conjure the drama and whimsy reminiscent of Jean-Honoré Fragonard and François Boucher. The London-based artist, originally from the U.K., initially delved into portraiture at the Heatherley School of Fine Art and furthered her studies at the City & Guilds of London Art School.

Within her studio, Yukhnovich seamlessly translates her foundational education in representational painting into a more liberated and imaginative approach to art creation. Her exhibitions span across prestigious galleries in London, Los Angeles, and Venice, and her artistic contributions have been acknowledged by notable collections such as the U.K.’s Government Art Collection and the David Roberts Art Collection.

By experimenting with Rococo aesthetics, Yukhnovich navigates the realms of femininity and the textural possibilities inherent in the medium of paint. Her work serves as a contemporary dialogue with the classical, marrying tradition with a bold and expressive exploration of form and color.
