"Nature and being outdoors provides us with such deep connection to our emotions and our soul. Inspired by colours of nature and the emotional connection of how places and experiences makes us feel, she delights the eye with serene expressionist abstract pieces, that convey the delicate hues of flora and the natural world as well as the explosive colour and vibrant scenes of festivals and outdoor living, where we find happiness, joy and freedom to just be, to enjoy our surroundings in those moments that ignite and lift our spirits.
Through her artwork, she aims to translate the emotional connection between places, experiences, and the natural world into visual form as a way for people to find moments of freedom and embrace positive experiences in their lives. Each brushstroke, every vibrant hue, and the careful composition of elements are all imbued with intention, inviting the viewer to embark on a sensory journey. Ellie Lovett (b. 1982, United Kingdom) studied Fine Art at De Montfort University and lives in The East Midlands. She uses a mix of acrylic, spray paint, gold leaf and other mediums to create her pieces, applying layers of colour, texture and depth to bring her artworks to life in an abstract, expressionist and illustrative style.
