What is your background and how did you start your journey in the art world?
“My artistic journey began with a passion for photography and poetry, which evolved into digital and mixed media art. Through my work, I aim to preserve my Lebanese roots while sharing my unique journey with others. Explore my art and learn more about my creative process.”
What does your work aim to say? Does it comment on any current social or political issues?
“My work explores themes of self-discovery, awakening, and the human experience. I strive to create art that captures fragments of emotion, universal truths, and resilience. Many of my pieces aim to shed light on the beauty of my homeland, Lebanon, while also expressing solidarity with its people. Through my art, I hope to honor Lebanon’s cultural richness and enduring spirit despite adversity, inspiring hope and unity.”
Do you plan your work in advance, or is it improvisation?
“My creative process is a blend of planning and improvisation. While I usually begin with a clear concept or emotion that I want to convey, the details tend to evolve naturally as I work. This allows me to stay authentic and connected to the creative flow.”

Are there any art world trends are you following?
“I am particularly drawn to the rise of digital and mixed media art, where technology is being used to push creative boundaries. I also appreciate the resurgence of traditional and cultural motifs in contemporary art, especially how they are being reinterpreted to reflect global issues and personal stories.”
What process, materials and techniques do you use to create your artwork?
“I primarily work with mixed media, combining photography, digital painting, and graphic design. I start with photographs, layering them with textures, patterns, and colors using digital tools. I experiment with light, shadow, and composition to add depth and evoke emotion. My pieces are then printed on premium fine art matte canvas using Giclée printing techniques to ensure long-lasting quality and vivid colors.”
What does your art mean to you?
“My art is deeply personal, it is a reflection of my inner self and a way for me to communicate. It is how I preserve memories, express emotions, and connect with others on a meaningful level. Creating art allows me to capture the beauty and complexity of life and leave behind a legacy that speaks to the universal human experience.”
What’s your favourite artwork and why?
“My favorite artwork is Vibrant Echoes of Nostalgia. This mixed media piece blends realism with abstraction to capture the emotional depth of Batroun's harbor. The vibrant colors and textured layers reflect the warmth, pride, and memories I associate with this coastal town. Through the boats, the reflections, and the elements I used, I wanted to share how Batroun is not just a place, it’s a feeling, a memory, and a part of me.”
Have you had any noteworthy exhibitions you'd like to share?
“I have had the privilege of exhibiting my work in several cities worldwide, including New York, Istanbul, London, Venice, Dubai, Amsterdam, Basel, Palma, and Athens. A particularly significant moment for me was the 2023 Batroun International Photography Festival, where my photograph ‘The Watcher at Dawn’ won the Silver Trophy. This black-and-white portrait of a young man standing by a lighthouse, gazing into the vast sea, was recognized for its ability to capture the essence of solitude, contemplation, and the intertwining relationship between man, nature, and architecture. Each exhibition has been a valuable opportunity to connect with a global audience and share my artistic vision, while also celebrating my cultural heritage.”
